Back How The Quick Group Celebrates the Earth Year Round | Clinical Trial & Cold Chain Logistics

The world has been observing Earth Day for more than 50 years. What began as a way to raise environmental awareness has evolved into a multi-day celebration with events all over the world – from activist and teach-ins— to clean-up and conservation events, both online and in-person. And five years ago, more than 120 countries marked the day by signing the Paris Agreement.

Climate action is about more than just one day. That’s why Quick has been committed to sustainability for nearly four decades. For us that means implementing environmentally-friendly initiatives and practices in each of our global offices year after year. For instance, Quick was the first in our industry to purchase high-efficiency vehicles for pick-up and delivery to save fuel. We dispose of all our end-of-life computer hardware and phone equipment responsibly, using the eRecycling program our Specialty Logistics business unit oversees.

Quick also continues to reduce paper consumption by delivering customer communications and invoices electronically and digitizing our internal processes. We use products made of recycled material, such as our shipping supplies, and choose to work with vendors who offer sustainable products and solutions. When our offices and facilities need refurbishing, we use sustainable materials and products for carpets, floors, workstations, paint and lighting, for example. And we have implemented best practices for shipping and routing to improve operational efficiencies and reduce our carbon footprint.

We take small actions every day as well in each office. This includes using green cleaning supplies and recycling as well as buying locally to reduce the need for shipping. Learn more about what you can do at home and at work, today and every day – because no action is too small to save our planet.
